This is not a goodbye.

This is not a goodbye.

This is not a goodbye.

Well what's there to say - it's been a year.

While I look back on the last 8 months I try to focus on the good, the unexpected surprises that this new reality has brought. I'll forever remember the one on one time with my son as he drove me around to deliver all the orders that came in while we were closed and the outpouring of love and support from the community for the health of the shop.

Unfortunately this year also marked the end of the physical shop on Main Street Unionville. That said, I am quite excited by the opportunity to think beyond the shelves and limitations of a physical space. I will miss all my amazing customers, the ones that supported me and my little dream through the hard months - YOU will forever be in my heart. My biggest challenge now is to figure out how to take the feeling of the shop, the one on one interactions and the good vibes online.

I did a bit of that with Facebook Live and Instagram Stories during the shutdown now I'lll invite you into my home virtually as I create virtual live "events" and look for real live events that are safe for pop-ups hopefully in the near future.

In April @goldenhourphotoco shot this beautiful photo on a chilly day from a distance while we were shut down and there was no end in sight. This photo was part of a series called #NotAGoodbye as she shared the stories of many small businesses struggling to survive. While we did not come out unscathed, we are still here, just in a different format. The Canadian Made gifts you loved before can still be found here and I look forward to bringing you lots more great new treasures.
